#SpeakerReveal: The Modern Renaissance Woman
Our next addition to the speaker line up made headlines for showing that it takes the support of a village to raise a child, who helped her gain an education and valuable experience, all with her daughter in tow.
With her expertise in Indigenous and anti-racism research, Larissa currently hold various roles as a Indigenous Policy Advisor for the Ontario Government, anti-racism trainer at St. Stephen’s Community House, and is a member of the Toronto Police Services Anti-Racism Advisory Panel.
While still in school, she took her daughter Zyra to classes and committee meetings with her when she was only 12-days. She graduated Summa Cum Laude at York University with Zyra right by her side. She travels internationally as a youth public speaker, empowering diverse youth to engage as active citizens at the highest levels while overcoming adversities and maintaining a community-based “why.”
